HEARD an update on the building project 12. APPROVED the nonresident student tuition enrollment of Philip J. Singer, grade 9 student, for the 2002-2003 school year. 13. ADOPTED the resolution to authorize the increase in the General Fund Revenue and Appropriation in the amount of $2,118.20, dated August 26, 2002, as submitted. 14. Communications a. ACCEPTED the letter of resignation of Charlene Cornell, teacher aide (Senior High), effective September 1, 2002, with appreciation for her service to the district. b. ACCEPTED the letter of resignation of Chester J. Kielkowski, school monitor (Glendaal), effective July 29, 2002, with appreciation for his service to the district. 15. Report of Superintendent a. Staffing Items marked with an * are conditioned on the school districts receipt of clearance for the employee from the State Education Department following a criminal history records check in accordance with the provision of Education Law §3035. 1) GRANTED the superintendent of schools authority to hire staff between August 27 and September 6, 2002, with such hiring to be within the approved Table of Organization, with board ratification to be taken at its regular meeting on September 9, 2002. 2) RESCINDED the part -time appointment of Joscelyn Clark as English teacher (Senior High School) and, further, approved her probationary appointment as English teacher (Senior High), effective September 1, 2002 through June 18, 2005, with 2002-2003 salary at the annual rate of $41,933 (Step 8 +M +2). Mrs. Clark has permanent certification. 3) APPROVED the probationary appointment of Andrea L. Erwetowski as elementary teacher (Glendaal), effective September 1, 2002 through August 31, 2005, with 2002-2003 salary at the annual rate of $33,500 (Step 1). Ms. Erwetowski has provisional certification. 4) APPROVED the part-time appointment of Lauren Amero as English teacher (Senior High), effective September 1, 2002 through June 30, 2003, with 2002-2003 salary at the annual rate of $27,535.20 (Step 2, 80% basis). Ms. Amero has provisional certification. 5) APPROVED* the part-time appointment of Susan Holub-McCann as remedial reading teacher (Middle School), effective September 1, 2002 through June 30, 2003, with 2002-2003 salary at the annual rate of $32,429.60 (Step 11, 70% basis). Mrs. Holub-McCann has permanent certification. |

time appointment of Joyce Semerad as teaching assistant (Senior
High) and further approveD her probationary appointment as teaching assistant
(Senior High), effective September 1, 2002 through August 31, 2003, with
2002-2003 salary at the annual rate of $18,236.40 (Step 7, 7 hours/day). |
