Grade 5 students at Glen-Worden to reach out to the homeless on March 5 and 7

The 45 grade 5 students and several parents from the Glen-Worden Elementary School will serve muffins and pancakes to dozens of residents at the City Mission in Schenectady on March 5 and 7.

The 8th annual pancake breakfast for the City Mission and Family Life Center residents will be served pancakes from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 7. The students and parents will meet from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, to make muffins for Saturday's breakfast.

The students are in Mary Radom's and Linda Rose's classes at Glen-Worden. Social Worker Theresa Rodrigues organizes the event each year.

The City Mission is located at Hamilton Street, Schenectady. The breakfast and muffin making will be done in the cafeteria, which faces Smith Street, Schenectady.
